General

The following terms and conditions apply to all orders which are processed by VIGARS Ltd either online or by any other form of communication and form part of the contract between us. Please read them carefully and print a copy for future reference. Your use of this site indicates your acceptance of these terms and conditions.


Prices

All prices include VAT. No contract is created until we have accepted your order. In the event a product is listed at an incorrect price due to a typographical error or error in pricing information received from our suppliers we will not process your order and will instead alert you immediately to the actual price of the goods. You will then have the option to proceed at this updated price. We will only process any such order with your explicit authority.


Delivery

Prices quoted are subject to stock availability. It is your responsibility to check your goods upon delivery for shortages or damage and to make a note of such on the carriers consignment note when you sign for the goods. If this is not done we are unable to take the matter up with the delivery company. If the delivery is not completed on the agreed date as a result of no one being available at the delivery address a second delivery charge will be applied. If installation is selected on a domestic appliance this is for connection to adjacent and available services and will not include hard wiring.
 

If you have requested installation of a new appliance the appliance must be disconnected in advance of the delivery of the new appliance. If the old appliance is not disconnected we will not be able to remove the old product unless a payment is made for the delivery team to return. The cost for this will depend on your location and the size and weight of the product; it will be a minimum of £50.
 
Additional security checks may be carried out before your delivery date to ensure our customers are protected from on-line fraud. You may, therefore, be contacted before your delivery so these checks can be carried out.

 

Products

Product images, descriptions and specifications are shown for guidance only; for example cabinet/case colours may vary, TV stands shown may differ from those supplied, remote control designs may vary during manufactures' production run etc. Some products may require set-up and/or assembly; for example TV's, videos and Hi-fi tuners may need manually tuning. TV stands/cabinet stands may need assembly. Washing machines need to have transit bolts removed etc.


Payment

Payment will be taken at the time the order is placed. A contract between us will then be formed. We accept payment by most major credit and debit cards


Included guarantee

All products are supplied guaranteed for a minimum period of one year following the date of delivery unless stated outherwise on the receipt.

 

Promotional 10 year guarantee if customer has certificate

Should the appliance develop a fault please contact the manufacturer to attempt to resolve the problem by phone and make a note of the call reference number. If a fault develops within the first 12 months of purchase the manufacturer will carry out a repair on our behalf therefore please contact the manufacturer. If the fault develops between 12 and 120 months of purchase and you have the manufacturers call reference number then phone our shop for instruction on the service procedure. There will be a charge if we find that the appliance is not faulty e.g. customer adjustment loose connection etc or other reasons listed on the reverse of the receipt. Non payment of any fee owed to VIGARS LIMITED will void this guarantee. If it is necessary to bring the equipment to our shop then we recommend that the customer brings another person to assist in carrying any appliance, as we will not be able to leave the shop. We will not be able to load or unload customer’s vehicles with or without assistance. There will be a small collection fee if the customer is unable to bring the faulty item in to our shop for repair. If VIGARS LIMITED determines that a repair would not be viable then the item will be replaced with a similar used item make and model to be decided by VIGARS LIMITED or as an alternative to a repair, VIGARS LIMITED may decide to credit the customer the market value of such replacement used appliance as part payment towards the purchase of a similar appliance in our shop. If there is no similar appliance available the credit may be used to purchase an alternative appliance of at least the same or greater price than the original purchase price of the faulty appliance. VIGARS LIMITED will not keep a record of the certificate of the guarantee, therefore the sales receipt and the certificate signed by the authorised person must be produced as proof of the guarantee. No repair will be carried out without the certificate and the purchase receipt. VIGARS LTD may terminate any free extended guarantee or warranty by giving the customer 1 month’s notification in writing to the invoiced address and/or on our website. The customer may make a claim for money from VIGARS LTD of 2% of the market value at the time of termination. The customer must make their claim for payment in writing within 3 months of termination by writing to Vigars limited at their current address. The free 10 year guarantee is void if the customer moves to a different address from the address on the invoice or receipt.

Your Right to Cancel

Only applies to telephone sales or if the order was placed by email. Under the The Consumer Contracts Regulations you can request a refund including delivery charges (Not installation fees) provided all goods are returned unused and unopened in the original packaging with all accessories including any free gifts or unused if the item was supplied without packaging. You must notify us within 14 days of delivery if you wish to cancel. No refunds can be given on specially ordered goods where good are not supplied from VIGARS LIMITED in store stock.


Your refund will be processed within 30 days of giving us your notice to cancel. Should you wish to cancel your order, any goods supplied must be returned to VIGARS Ltd, 99 Queen St Newton Abbot TQ12 2BG, at your own expense within 7 days of your notice to cancel.


We are unable to accept back unwanted gifts or non-faulty items if more than 7 days after the delivery date have passed.
